The base caricature is built entirely in your browser. MediaPipe detects facial landmarks, then we exaggerate the eyes, nose, and cheeks and apply a cartoon filter — your photo never leaves your device.
It is an optional, strictly opt-in step. If you click it, only the already-edited picture is sent to Cloudflare's free-tier image model to add a painterly, hand-drawn finish. The base deformation and cartoon look work without it.
It is tuned for a single, front-facing face. For best results use one clear portrait with even lighting and both eyes visible. Multiple faces are not separated yet.
Caricature is intentional exaggeration. If it looks too extreme, lower the Exaggeration slider or pick the Light Cute preset, which keeps features close to the original.
PNG keeps the cleanest lines and any transparency. JPG is smaller and works well for sharing on social media.
The tool caps processing at 1200px on the longest side so the face detection and warping stay fast. Larger files are scaled down before editing.

File size limits depend on your device's available memory. Very large images may take longer to process or require a device with more RAM to complete reliably.
